Fine Line Tattoo

Many people ask if a fine line tattoo will last as long as a traditional one and the general answer is yes. Whilst they may require an initial top up or a re-boost after a few years, the same ink is used as a traditional tattoo which makes them just as permanent. How long the tattoo will last is dependent on the area tattooed, the skin quality & the lifestyle of the client.

No alcohol 24 hours before your appointment. Depending on what time your appointment is, please try and make sure you have had something to eat and drink about an hour before.

Please be aware we will not tattoo anyone under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Wear dark clothing (to avoid getting clothes marked incase we have any splashes). Ensure area is clean.

Make sure you dress so that you can easily expose the area that you are likely to get your tattoo. Also, the tattoo will be dressed afterward, and we wouldn’t advise any tight clothing going on after this. Tattoo ink may stain clothing, your tattoo artist will do his best to keep your clothing clean. Though there is always a possibility of getting ink on your clothes, so dark clothing is favourable. 

We will not tattoo the face, palms of the hands or soles of the feet. 

Itching is a very normal part of healing a tattoo. As tattoos only break the very top layer of skin it is likely to itch and flake a little. It’s very important to not pick or scratch at your tattoo. You can purchase an after cream from BellaBeauty to apply.

We do not recommend the use of any numbing cream. These types of creams block your pores and absorb into the skin making it very hard to tattoo. Tattoos done after the application of numbing cream are at a very high risk of fading or “pushing the ink out”. 

18+ only! This is the law. And we require physical ID in the form of a passport or drivers license ONLY. We do not accept pictures or scans of either. 

We cannot tattoo you if any of these apply:

• You are under the age of 18 or don’t bring your ID with you to your appointment

• You have taken any blood thinning medication 24 hours beforehand (e.g. Aspirin)
• Taken any recreational drugs or alcohol in the 24 hours beforehand
• If you’re pregnant or breastfeeding
• You must have eaten in the last 4 hours before getting a tattoo, to avoid feeling ill or faint

It can be up to 6 weeks before your tattoo is fully healed. You will know when this is complete as the tattoo stops being shiny. 

Moisturise! Over time tattoos do settle into being matte on your skin so its very important to keep your skin hydrated and always wear an SPF of at least 50 on all your tattoos.

Tattoos age, much like your skin. Over the years and years to come, you might notice a slight depigmentation of the ink however a little moisturiser will usually bring this back to life.

We recommend Hustle Butter. It’s a premium tattoo aftercare cream with the consistency of a thick moisturiser, a little bit goes a long way. We sell this in sachets at BellaBeauty. Your artist will tell you when you can remove the bandage covering the tattoo, once you have done this rinse the tattoo under lukewarm water and wash with a mild soap, we recommend Sanex 0%.Wash your tattoo with clean hands, using warm soapy water. Rinse the area with cold water and pat dry. Normal showering is fine just do not soak your tattoo or rub with a towel. Apply Hustler Butter 2-3 times a day until your tattoo is healed. Your tattoo will scab whilst healing, do not pick at the flakes as this can cause the colour to be pulled out. Avoid swimming or suntanning until your tattoo has healed. Apply high SPF sunblock for the life of your tattoo to prevent fading.
